This atypical trio of misfits is undoubtedly one of the best features of this new GTA. On April 16, Melina Juergens, the actress who plays Senua, released a video that describes her experience behind-the-scenes. Unfortunately, we didn't learn any specific details about the gameplay or level design. The first game took place in the fictional realm of Helheim, so it should be interesting to see how the game plays out with a physical location to work with instead. Neither half was incredibly complex, but the balance between the two worked well, and helped keep the story moving forward at a respectable clip.Īt the Microsoft July 2020 event, we learned that Hellblade 2 will take place in Iceland. The combat sections let Senua string together simple combos to take on both human and supernatural foes. The exploration sections challenged Senua to interact with environmental objects and solve puzzles.
In theory, it’ll resemble the first game, which was part exploration and part combat. Since the Hellblade 2 trailer was all prerendered cutscene footage, it’s hard to say what the gameplay might look like.
